ABOUT B.E.S.S.
The Blairstown Ambulance and Blairstown Fire Department initiated a collaborative effort in April of 2023. This collaboration gave rise to what would be further known as the Blairstown Emergency Services Station. In mid-April, the B.E.S.S Foundation attained a notable milestone through the acquisition of a plot of land located at 200 Railroad Street. This land would be utilized for the construction of the Emergency Services Station. This building would accommodate both emergency services, improving the functionality and services we provide to the community we serve.

In June of 2023, volunteer members, backed by community support, launched an initiative to clear the overgrown land and buildings that remained. Following this, the two services engaged in discussions. Topics focused on identifying means to improve the quality of emergency response for the members, community, and public.
Efforts progressed as the foundation committee partnered with architects, engineers, design firms, and project management to formulate and implement a sustainable design.
While more site preparation techniques were being implemented behind the scenes work continued and a finalized building design was unveiled in June of 2025. Looking ahead, the foundation aims to embark on construction of the building in Summer of 2026, with a targeted enclosure date of Fall 2026, prior to the onset of any adverse weather conditions.
